ADVISORY BOARD

Dr. Engles is an entrepreneur, angel investor and director of public and private companies. He was the founding Chairman and CEO of Stillwater Mining Company, a producer of platinum group metals which he took public in 1994. He was also the founder and CEO of Cutanix Corporation, a developer of topical anti-inflammatory drugs, which was sold to a strategic acquirer in 2004. He currently serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee of Catalytic Solutions, Inc. (CTS), and has served on five public company boards and seven private company boards, chairing both audit and compensation committees. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur Dr. Engles was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Johns-Manville Corporation; managing director of the Trump Group; and partner of Booz-Allen and Hamilton. He earned a Ph.D. in operations research from Stanford, an MBA from the University of Warwick (UK), and a B.A. in electrical engineering and mathematics from Rice University. Mr. Tangella brings more than 20 years of experience in industries covering Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, and IT & Engineering. An experienced entrepreneur, Mr. Tangella also has broad managerial experience at Abbott Labs, Amgen, Deloitte & Touche, Genentech, St Jude Medical, and VA hospitals. A senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) he is also on the board of Genentech. A published author in leading technical and bioengineering journals, Mr. Tangella holds a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, a Masters degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University in India. Mr. Abate has over 20 years of commercial experience and is currently the VP of Business Development at Movaris, a firm that targets corporate finance organizations with compliance and risk-optimizing products and services, including process-oriented application software. Mr. Abate was previously the Director of Business Development at Ariba, a leading supplier of Supply Chain Management solutions, and Directory of Product Management at Toshiba. He has also held positions at Rolm and two successful startup companies. Mr. Abate holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
